Pepperoni and Muenster Quiche Recipe

Ah, quiche. One of the more traditional dishes, quiche gets its name from the German word ‘kuchen’, which translates to cake, and was later named “lorraine” in French. Traditionally, quiche is served with a crust, but it can also be found without one. I personally like to make this quiche recipe without the crust unless I have time to make it from scratch. If you are really craving that flakey crust and don’t have time to whip one up yourself, you can always use the store-bought version and bake it with the quiche filling inside. Here’s a quiche recipe that’s simple to make and sure to be a crowd pleaser.
Pepperoni and Muenster Quiche
- 5 large eggs
- 3/4 cup half & half
- 1 cup muenster cheese, shredded
- 10 pieces pepperoni, chopped
- 1 cup chopped spinach, cooked and drained
- 1 pinch kosher salt
- 1 pinch black pepper
- 1 tsp olive oil, for greasing pan
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a bowl whisk together eggs and half & half until combined.
- Add spinach, 3/4 cup of muenster cheese, pepperoni, kosher salt and black pepper to egg mixture and stir together until all ingredients are combined. This will be your filling.
- Pour filling into greased 9-inch pie pan. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup shredded muenster cheese on top.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until quiche is golden brown. Once done, remove from oven and let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
