BBQ Instant Pot Ribs are falling-off-the-bone tender and juicy, and ready in only 45 minutes. Pork spare ribs are rubbed with my homemade pork spice rub, set in the pressure cooker, then smothered in BBQ sauce and finished off under the broiler until lightly charred.

Ingredients
  • 1 rack pork spare ribs membrane removed
  • 2 cups BBQ sauce gluten free
  • 1/4 cup apple cider
  • 3 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp dried mustard
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
Instructions
  1. In a bowl, mix together spices. Evenly rub spices onto both sides of the ribs.

  2. Pour apple cider into the bottom of the instant pot, and place metal rack into the pot. Cut ribs into sections and place them into the instant pot, standing upright. Close the lid and seal the steam valve. Set on high for 25 minutes, then allow to naturally release.

  3. Once the ribs are done, pull them out of the instant pot carefully, and lay them on a baking sheet. Brush with BBQ sauce, and broil in the oven for 3-5 minutes, or until lightly charred on the top. Brush with additional BBQ sauce before serving.
