Champagne Strawberries are the PERFECT treat for a special occasion, made with fresh strawberries soaked in champagne and dipped in sugar until they sparkle!
Add the strawberries to a medium bowl. Pour the champagne over the strawberries until it's just covering them. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or longer).
Drain the strawberries and gently dry them with a paper towel. Dip a strawberry into the granulated sugar until coated, then place onto a serving plate.
Continue until all of the strawberries are coated in sugar and serve.

If you wash the strawberries right before soaking them in champagne, dry them well so you don't water down the champagne.
Make sure the strawberries are fully submerged in the champagne so they soak up as much flavor as possible. They'll float, but do the best you can.
Pat the berries dry after draining the champagne, or the sugar will be wet instead of the look we're going for.
Make sure the strawberries you're using are really fresh and firm. They can get a little softer when soaking, and you want to make sure they weren't soft to begin with.
Don't soak the strawberries for more than about 12-14 hours, or they'll get too soft.
Make sure you refrigerate your strawberries while they're soaking. This is for food safety, and also to help the strawberries stay fresh and firm.
