Green Onion Dip is the perfect party appetizer, made with cream cheese and sour cream mixed with fresh chopped green onion, garlic, and spices, ready in just 5 minutes!
Add the cream cheese to a medium mixing bowl. With an electric hand mixer, mix until there are no more lumps. Add sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and spices, mixing again until everything is just combined. Be careful not to over-mix.
Fold in the green onions using a spatula until evenly distributed. Adjust with salt and pepper as-needed and serve, or refrigerate.
Notes
StorageRefrigerate for 2-3 days in an airtight container.Cooking Tips
If you want this to have less of a bite, use 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder instead of fresh garlic.
Soften the cream cheese for at least 20 minutes at room temperature to prevent lumps when mixing.
Stop when everything is just combined, then fold in the green onions.
The white parts of green onions have a much stronger flavor, which is why I only use the dark green parts.
Chop the green onions into even pieces. This helps them disperse in the dip evenly so each bite tastes the same.
If your dip feels too thin, refrigerate it for about 30 minutes to let everything thicken.
