Here’s a really easy recipe for your next party. Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Wings are your basic set-it-and-forget-it appetizer, which is perfect for when you’re running around doing a million other things! I’ve also been known to make these for dinner, on a rare occasion. If you want these to come out extra crispy, and don’t mind an extra step, you can also throw these in the oven for a few minutes to get them crispy!
Alright, everyone. We’ve officially made it half way through the week. Phew! It was touch-and-go there for a moment.
And what better way to celebrate than a mouth full of slow cooker buffalo chicken wings?
I can’t think of one!
Can we talk about this buffalo sauce for a minute? It has a really nice kick of spice, like buffalo sauce tends to have. But the honey really evens out that flavor. So there’s a bit of sweet and spicy going on here, which is really the key when it comes to really good wings.
Here’s the thing about the consistency of this sauce. It can vary, depending on how much juice your chicken releases while it’s cooking. Or the type (brand) of buffalo sauce you use. If yours comes out too thin, it’s a really easy thing to fix. Just put it in a saucepan, and cook it over medium-high heat for about 10 minutes, or until it begins to cook down and thicken. That’s it! Super easy, and you’ll get a nice thick sauce.
Let me just say, I am completely aware that “buffalo” is spelled wrong on the slow cooker below.

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Wings
- 25 chicken wings
- 1 1/2 cups buffalo sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- In a bowl whisk together buffalo sauce and honey.
- Add wings to slow cooker, pour sauce over wings.
- Cook on HIGH for 4 hours, or LOW for 8 hours, or until chicken is cooked through.
