Slow Cooker Taco Meat With Turkey

I’m not going to lie. Tacos may just be my favorite food of all time. And I’m not just saying that because of how ridiculously easy these were to make. Ohh no, my friend. This Slow Cooker Taco Meat has everything I’m looking for in a lean turkey taco, but it’s so much more than that. The blend of spices in this dinner will make you forget all about those little packets you buy from the store. That’s right, you’re the taco seasoning master now. Which basically means tacos anytime, anywhere, and you got this!

Slow Cooker Taco Meat is hands down one of the slam-dunk recipes of the year. Andrew and I happen to be taco connoisseursIt’s like a wine connoisseur, but with tacos. That’s right, if there’s a taco out there, we’ve probably ventured out to try it.

You can check out my favorite oven fried fish taco here, if you don’t believe me. They’re half the fat of a fried taco!

And while I love me some tacos, finding a great place that knows about cross contamination can be a bit of a hassle. So a lot of times, I’ll just recreate them at home. Which is a win-win situation, really, because I can make a huge portion and have leftovers for Taco Dinner Part 2. That’s the best taco dinner yet!

I added my slow cooker taco meat to some warm corn tortillas, and topped it with some shredded cheddar, cilantro, greek yogurt, and my personal pico de gallo recipe. Andrew cut up some limes and added a squeeze of those on top, too.

And because there was just two of us for taco night, and I make 3 lbs of delicious taco meat, I made up a few taco salads the next day. It’s basically slow cooker taco meat over a bed of lettuce with shredded cheese, salsa, and some crumbled corn chips on top. I LOVE having this for lunch, because it just feels like a taco and a salad all at the same time. Which convinces my brain that I’m eating healthy… Kind of. More corn chips, please?

So stay tuned for more, when I bring you another 5 recipes next week!

Happy Friday, everyone!
